Siobhan is the Head of Accreditation at The BirthBliss Academy and also the Ambassador Co-ordinator at The Doula Association. She has been a doula since 2012 and has supported hundreds of clients over the years.
Siobhan believes that a doula coach is someone that walks alongside, providing support on the way rather than managing and telling new doulas what to do.
Gráinne Amos is a coach who helps doulas make the transition from their current role, whether that is from full-time family support or as an employee, to a confident, successful doula business owner.
As a Mum of two teenage girls, Gráinne has always worked while bringing up her family. Gráinne started coaching while working at Waitrose, where she previously worked for 28 years. In this role, Gráinne helped coach and develop people who struggled in their current role, or coached individuals through progressing their career.
Gráinne loves to help other doula's deal with the sometimes overwhelming prospect of starting a new business and coaches Doula's through some of the self doubt, imposter syndrome moments. Today Gráinne is also the Training and Development Lead for The Doula Association.
Hayley has been a birth and postnatal doula since 2014 and a mobile massage therapist (specialising in pregnancy and postnatal) since 2015. She lives in Croydon with her husband and two children.
Hayley has supported births in all the usual settings - at home, in birth centres, delivery suites and theatres - as well as in A&E (narrowly avoiding the hospital car park!) and triage! Hayley has shared in many joys with her birth and postnatal clients but also supported them through many dark times including baby loss, postnatal depression and anxiety, and mental health issues requiring hospitalisation.
Hayley is delighted to be one of the BirthBliss Doula Coaches and finds it very rewarding to walk alongside new doulas as they begin their exciting and unique journeys. She strives to bring the same approach to her coaching as she does to her doulaing; being a calm, positive, reassuring and non-judgmental support. Whether new doulas plan to juggle the role with other commitments such as looking after their own children, or wish to create a full time business as a doula, Hayley enjoys being there beside them as they find their own space in the doula world. Hayley strongly believes that everyone has something to teach us and as such also looks forward to learning from her coachees and all the different life experiences they bring to the role.
