The BirthBliss Doula Academy Partners

At The BirthBliss Academy, we believe in the power of collaboration to make a lasting difference in the lives of the women and families we serve. Our journey is one of passion, dedication, and a deep-seated belief that together, we can create a world where every woman and family receives the support, care, and understanding they need during one of life's most monumental moments – the birth of a child.

Our partnerships are more than just agreements; they are a reflection of our core values of empathy, compassion, and heartfelt care. We choose to collaborate with organisations that share these values and have a proven track record of making a significant impact in the lives of mothers, babies, and families. By joining forces with other organisations, we are expanding our capacity to support, educate, and empower families across a broader spectrum of needs.

These partnerships are a testament to our commitment to holistic support, encompassing not just the physical aspects of childbirth but also the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of mothers and their families. Through our combined efforts, we aim to address the challenges of birth trauma, provide refuge and support to asylum-seeking and refugee families, and ensure that every family's journey into parenthood is met with understanding, respect, and unwavering support.

We are excited about the possibilities these collaborations unlock and look forward to sharing our journey with you. Together, we are making strides towards a future where every birth is supported, every voice is heard, and every family is empowered.

The Happy Baby Community is a beacon of hope and support for mothers and babies who find themselves far from home, navigating the complexities of asylum-seeking and refugee status. Founded on the principles of compassion, safety, and community, this London-based charity extends its arms wide to embrace women from various backgrounds, offering them a sanctuary where they can find not just practical support but a sense of belonging.

Driven by a dedicated team of volunteers, The Happy Baby Community provides an array of services designed to meet the unique needs of its members. These include access to essential baby supplies, emotional support groups, and guidance on navigating the UK's asylum system. At its heart, the charity seeks to combat the isolation so often felt by refugee and asylum-seeking mothers, creating a nurturing environment where friendships can flourish, and cultures can converge in beautiful harmony.

Beyond immediate support, The Happy Baby Community also advocates for the rights and well-being of refugee and asylum-seeking families, striving to raise awareness of the challenges they face and to inspire change at both a local and national level. Through its compassionate approach and unwavering commitment, The Happy Baby Community stands as a pillar of hope, affirming the belief that every mother and baby deserves a happy, healthy start, regardless of their origin.

The Birth Trauma Association (BTA) is a pivotal UK-based charity that plays a critical role in supporting women who have experienced traumatic births. Recognizing the profound impact that birth trauma can have on maternal mental health, the BTA is dedicated to offering solace, understanding, and practical guidance to those navigating the aftermath of a distressing birth experience.

With a focus on raising awareness about birth trauma, the BTA works tirelessly to educate healthcare professionals and the wider public about the signs, consequences, and care strategies related to birth-related psychological trauma. Their mission extends beyond support; they are advocates for change, pushing for improvements in maternity care practices to prevent trauma and ensure that every woman's birth experience is treated with the sensitivity and respect it deserves.

The organization provides a range of resources, including information on PTSD after childbirth, coping strategies, and personal stories from women who have walked the path of recovery. Through their helpline, website, and network of volunteers, the BTA creates a compassionate community where affected mothers can find a voice and begin their journey towards healing.
