Anti-Bullying Statement
At The BirthBliss Doula Academy, we are committed to creating a respectful, inclusive and emotionally safe space for learning, working and connection.
-
We recognise that the birth world can be a place where strong views exist and where differences can sometimes lead to division.
-
We believe it is possible to hold differing perspectives without harm, and we actively support that.
Our stance is simple
-
Bullying, harassment, intimidation and targeting are not accepted in any form
-
People from all backgrounds and belief systems are welcome, provided they treat others with respect and care. This includes people who hold a wide range of personal, religious or philosophical beliefs.
-
Disagreement is part of healthy dialogue, but shaming, silencing or personal attacks are not
-
Everyone has the right to express themselves and to feel safe within our spaces
Who this apply to
This statement applies to everyone engaging with BirthBliss, including students, doulas, facilitators, speakers and members of the wider community.
All are expected to contribute to an environment grounded in respect, openness and curiosity.
Dialogue over division
We do not support call-out culture, public shaming or exclusion based on holding differing views. We believe in dialogue, reflection and the possibility of learning and growth, while maintaining clear boundaries around behaviour.
If something doesn’t feel right
If you experience or witness behaviour within BirthBliss spaces that feels bullying, harassing or harmful, you are encouraged to raise this with the Academy.
Concerns will be listened to and considered with care and fairness. The BirthBliss Doula Academy does not act as a regulatory body, but we do take responsibility for the safety and tone of our own spaces.
Our commitment
We stand for respect over division, learning over judgement, and support over fear.
Everyone belongs here. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity.
