The BirthBliss Academy Self-Paced Doula

Birth and postnatal training you can do from home, the same BirthBliss curriculum, with live support so you are not learning alone.

If you are drawn to doula work but four consecutive days away feels difficult, this route was made for that. Study at your own pace, revisit the modules whenever you need them and join regular Zoom Doula Days.

Same standards as our in-person course

BirthBliss Doula Course Participants

Studying online does not mean studying alone. This course follows the same core curriculum and values as our face-to-face training: empathy, practical skills, and honest preparation for working with families.

When you complete the course and the reflective modules, you receive the same Diploma in Birth and Postnatal Doula Support as in-person students. The training is FEDANT-accredited.

Prefer the room? You can still browse in-person dates. Unsure which fits? Start with a free taster, or read Which course is right for me?

Why YOU deserve to do something fulfilling that truly lights you up and makes a difference ...

Over 130 million women will give birth this year (according to global estimates). That means becoming a certified doula, right now, is an incredibly smart move.

It’s YOUR time and YOUR year to make a significant change in your life and career.

Your future clients are out there, searching for the support and guidance only you can provide. There’s truly never been a better time to step into this role and help those who need you.

Maybe you don’t feel like an “expert” yet and doubt creeps in. I get it! I’ve been there.

The BirthBliss Doula Academy was created to gradually replace those doubts with confidence. Our program shows you step-by-step how to turn your passion for supporting women and their families into a rewarding career as a doula.

No more second-guessing. No more procrastination. No more “what ifs.” You can create the life you want while making a real difference in the lives of others.

Kicki Hansard Founder The BirthBliss Academy

Wanna know who succeeds as a doula?

It’s not about being the smartest, most

experienced, or most outgoing. It’s about being willing to try, learn, fall down a few times and get back up because you’re committed to building a career based on what you value most.

There’s a place for you in this world, friend.

I’m here to walk alongside you, every step of the way.

Should you choose to say YES to your future, I personally guarantee that these next 9 weeks and beyond will be completely and utterly life-changing.

I can’t wait to meet you and cheer you on inside The BirthBliss Doula Academy!

ALL my best,

Kicki x

How it works after you enrol

Enrol → work through the modules at your pace → join Doula Days → complete reflective work → receive the Diploma → optional Certification Programme if you want coaching as you gain practical experience.

Things people often worry about

It helps to name the worries before you decide. Here are the ones we hear most often.

Will online prepare me properly?

It seems like you may worry that learning at home will leave you underprepared. The core curriculum matches our in-person training. Live Doula Days sessions via Zoom keep you connected and you can return to the materials as you start working with families.

Am I missing something if I do not train face to face?

You are choosing a different learning environment, not a thinner education. If being in the room feels important, choose in person. If flexibility matters more right now, choose online.

The fee feels like a lot before I am earning

That is a fair concern. Payment plans are available. You are also welcome to book a free taster first if you want to feel the teaching before you commit.

Do I need a Doula UK approved course?

No. It is not a legal requirement. What matters is thorough training, support and an approach that fits how you want to work with families.
